🌴 Our Story

We came to Watamu as adventurers drawn by the ocean breeze, turquoise waters, and the peace that only the coast can offer. What began as a few days of rest quickly evolved into something deeper. The calm, the warmth of the people, and the quiet magic of this town made it impossible to leave. Like many who visit, we didn’t just fall in love with Watamu; we decided to make it our home.

As time went on, we saw that even though Watamu is beautiful, it can be hard to figure it out. Finding trusted service providers, local products, or reliable riders, and knowing what’s happening around town was not easy. We met people who had lived here for months or years and still hadn’t discovered much of what Watamu has to offer. Information was scattered and often unreliable.

We made it our duty to explore it all, from local food spots, transport, entertainment, quiet corners, local excursions, wellness experiences, and hidden gems. Along the way, we built a network of reliable and trustworthy people & businesses. We’ve since helped countless friends and family members plan their visits, connect with the right locals, and fall in love with the town, and even settle here just as we did.

One day, we thought, "Why not make it easy for everyone else, too?". And that’s how Watamu Hub began- not as a business idea, but as a real solution born from life in Watamu.

Watamu Hub was founded by two people who turned their everyday Watamu experiences into a living guide for others. What started as helping a few friends has grown into a full ecosystem that connects locals, residents, and visitors through trusted services, authentic experiences, and community spirit.

We bring together everything that defines modern coastal living:
